Summerville ROCKS! is the Summerville Artist Guild's fundraising effort.
All of our efforts to fund the
 Larry Barnfield Art Education Scholarship  and the
Summerville Artist Guild Fine Arts Scholarship fall under that umbrella.
So, too, will an adult scholarship in
Detta Cutting Zimmerman's name.

To date, there have been three annual auctions  of artist-decorated rocking chairs,
as well as a  Fine Art Walk and Auction. Summerville ROCKS! has raised about
$30,000  in scholarship money during those years.
The Art Forum

Every 3rd Monday of the Month;  Farmhouse at the Ponds

The goals of the group are to;

  • ·         Provide a friendly place to be with other artists;
  • ·         Use the forum time to re-charge your creative batteries;
  • ·         An opportunity  to learn more about your creative self

This is a casual, friendly, supportive group of curious seekers who like to laugh. The
group shares information from books, their artwork, their background, and general
information about art.  Each person has much to share and learn from others.

“The object isn’t to make art; it’s to be in that wonderful state which
makes art inevitable.”  Robert Henri  -
